As part of our programme to provide you with the very best oral health care we have introduced a new preventive screening service. The service aims to increase your awareness of mouth cancer which affect about 3,500 people in the UK each year, 1,600 of whom will die from the disease.

Mouth Cancer... are you at risk?

Anyone can be affected by mouth cancer, whether they have their own teeth or not. Smoking, chewing tobacco, greatly increase your risk of mouth cancer. Heavy drinkers are also at risk. If you do both the chances of getting mouth cancer are much greater. This cancer is more common in people over 40 years of age, and is more common in men.

The procedure is completely painless, consisting of simple mouth rinses, requires no injections and only takes 10 minutes.
